February 10th, 2022. Monthly Meeting: “Webinar Discussion – Lessons Learned Through Newborn Behavioral Observations with Dr. Jayne Singer”

Our next meeting will be on Thursday, February 10th from 5:15pm – 6:45pm to watch a pre-recorded webinar presented by Dr. Jayne Singer called Integrity and Integration in Infant Mental Health: Lessons Learned Through Newborn Behavioural Observations. Dr. Singer does a beautiful job of walking us through the process of observing a baby’s behaviour and opening us up to reflecting on the caregiver’s/family’s perspective, and then bridging the connection between the observation, the family’s response, and how that creates the bonding and attachment. The webinar is courtesy of Newborn Behavior International. It will last approximately 1hr which will leave us about 30 minutes to have a follow-up discussion.

Dr. Jayne Singer is based in Boston Children’s Hospital. she provides evaluation and treatment for families and children from birth through childhood with medical, developmental, emotional, behavioral, and familial challenges including trauma. She is President of the Massachusetts Association for Infant Mental Health. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and an International Facilitator of the Brazelton Touchpoints Approach and the Newborn Behavioral Observations system.

Date: Thursday, February 10th 5:15pm – 6:45 via Zoom.
