November 18th, 2021 Monthly Meeting: “Sleep Challenges in Children in the Context of Mental Health” with Sarah Fenrich

We are excited to welcome occupational therapist and sleep coach Sarah Fenrich to provide us with a presentation on “Sleep Challenges in Children in the Context of Mental Health”. Sarah is an occupational therapist and sleep coach. She has supported hundreds of children and their families in the past 14 years, working in Germany, Austria, USA, Mexico, and Canada. Sarah pairs her extensive knowledge and expertise as an occupational therapist with a holistic, gentle, and attachment-based approach as a sleep coach to improve her client’s sleep, their overall mental health and their ability to function thus enhancing their quality of life. She provides in-person and virtual support to children and their families in Metro Vancouver and internationally as a sleep coach at “Holistic Sleep Solutions” and in her mobile OT clinic “Real Life Kids OT”. Sarah regularly offers educational webinars related to sleep and child development for parents and professionals. Her presentation will cover topics such as the biology of sleep, sleep needs in children, an overview of common sleep challenges, factors that impact sleep, practical strategies on how to optimize sleep, and a better understanding of disabilities associated with sleep problems.
